AAAI-10 Student Programs

AAAI-10 offers a host of programs and opportunities just for students. Among those offered are the following:

  • The Abstract and Poster Program
  • The Scholar and Volunteer Program
  • The Doctoral Consortium

Student Abstract and Poster Program

The goal of the AAAI-10 student abstract and poster program program is to provide a forum in which students can present and discuss their work during its early stages, meet some of their peers who have related interests, and introduce themselves to more senior members of the field. The program was open to all pre-Ph.D students. Student presenters honor the spirit of the program by submitting only work for which they are primary investigators.

Poster Session

The accepted student abstracts will be allocated presentation time and space in the student poster display area at the conference. Student authors of accepted abstracts have prepared a poster representing the work described in their abstracts and will be available at AAAI-10 to discuss their work with visitors during their allocated time in the student poster display area.

Student Scholar and Volunteer Program

AAAI is pleased to announce the continuation of its Student Volunteer Programs for 2010. The Student Volunteer Program is an essential part of the conference and student participation is a valuable contribution. Volunteers will support AAAI organizers in Atlanta. In 2010, a limited number of complimentary technical program registrations will be made available for students who volunteer during the conference. Preference will be given to students who have an accepted technical paper, and then to students who are actively participating in the conference in some way. However, all eligible students are encouraged to apply. Local students are also encouraged to apply for the Volunteer Program. AAAI membership is required for eligibility. For further information regarding the Student Volunteer Program, please contact AAAI at volunteer10@aaai.org. The deadline for volunteer applications is April 23, 2010.
